Appeal for Financial Help for Arijit Sengupta

Arijit is like any regular 16 year old kid with dreams in his eyes and a guitar in his hand. He wants to do a course in Company Secretaryship and then law.What sets him apart from the crowd is his determination to rise above odds. 


This 16 years old body is afflicted with Nephritic Syndrome since he was a toddler. Dr. M.M.Bahadur, Consultant Nephrologist at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai diagnosed chronic renal failure and recommended a living related kidney transplant.

Arijit's father, Mr.Indrajit Sengupta donated his kidney. A marathon 6 hours long operation on 16th June, 2005 gave Arijit a new kidney.Unfortunately, he lost his graft and is now on hemodialysis.  The doctor has advised immediate cadaver kidney transplant.

The family is in dire need of funds. Here is their tentative requirement:

• Cadaver kidney transplant Rs. 4 lakhs approximately. 
• Dialysis Rs.20000/- per month
• Injection Rs 2300/ per week
• Post operative medication expense Rs.1.5 lakhs approximately

Family Background: Arijit's father is ailing and is unemployed. His mother is a pre-primary teacher. The family requests you to donate generously to save Arijit.
